MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – The Amherst College men's track and field team posted 11 All-New England finishes on the final day of the New England Division III Indoor Championships on Saturday at Middlebury College's Virtue Field House.
The Mammoths finished sixth overall at the meet with 51 points. MIT won its third straight team championship with 152 points. The top eight finishers in each event earn All-New England honors.

USTFCCCA Division III rankings, will compete again on Saturday, March 5, at the Tufts National Qualifying Meet for one last chance to post top times before the NCAA Division III Indoor Championships beginning March 11. The top 20 athletes nationwide in each individual event and top 12 teams in each relay earn entry to the NCAA Championships.
DAY 2 HIGHLIGHTS
* Junior
Jack Trent finished third in the heptathlon with a personal-best score of 4637 points, a top-20 mark in Division III this season. Trent ran a personal best in the 1000m to help earn his first All-New England finish.
* Senior
Henry Buren sprinted to top-four finishes in both the 60m and 200m. Buren ran a personal-best 6.94 to finish third in the 60m and repeat as an All-New England finisher. He posted a season-best 22.38 to rank fourth in the 200m. Buren now has six career All-New England awards between indoor and outdoor championships.
* Junior
Kelechi Eziri repeated as an All-New England triple jumper with a mark of 14.05m that ranked third.
* Junior
Chris Gong earned a repeat All-New England nod in the long jump, finishing third with a season-best leap of 6.88m.
* First-year
Gent Malushaga posted his best time of the season in the 1000m to finish fourth in 2:33.61.
* Sophomore
Kolya Markov-Riss made his New England Championship debut with a fourth-place finish in the 600m, clocking in at 1:23.11.
* The Mammoths 4x800m relay team of sophomores
Braedon Fiume and
Wilson Spurrell and first-years
Jack O'Hara and
Alexander Rich finished sixth in 8:04.96. Fiume repeated as an All-New England finisher in the event while the other three Mammoths were making their championship debut.
* Spurrell also earned All-New England honors in the 800m with a seventh-place finish. His time of 1:55.44 was the best of his debut season.
* First-year
Camden Heafitz cleared 1.91m to finish sixth in the high jump.
* Junior
Owen Daily ran the mile in 4:21.39 for an eighth-place finish. Daily earned his third career All-New England selection after earning the honor as part of the distance medley relay team yesterday and in 2020.
