WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Senior
Mary Kate McGranahan won her third race this season, leading the Amherst College women's cross country team to a first-place finish in the Purple Valley Invitational on Saturday at Mount Greylock Regional School.
The Mammoths, ranked eighth in the nation and first in the region in the latest USTFCCCA Division III poll, have won the team title in all three races they have entered this season with McGranahan finishing first in every race.
Amherst is back in action on Saturday, Oct. 15, racing in the Connecticut College Invitational in Waterford, Connecticut.

Daphne Theiler posted a time of 23:45.0 to finish ninth, her third top-10 finish through her first three collegiate races.
* Sophomore
Sylvan Wold finished in a personal-best 6k time of 23:52.5 to claim 12th place, her best collegiate cross country finish. First-year
Allison Lounsbury was just behind, clocking in at 23:55.3 for 13th place.
