The Amherst College men's squash teams dropped a pair of matches at 17th-ranked Tufts and 2nd-ranked Harvard on a swing through the Boston area on Sunday. The Mammoths fell to the Jumbos, 8-1, in the morning at the Tufts Squash Center in Medford, then went on to Boston for an afternoon clash that the Crimson won in a 9-0 sweep at the Murr Center.
The Mammoths (7-6), ranked 21st in the nation in the latest CSA rankings, got their lone win of the day from senior captain Charles Sutherby, who was a 3-1 winner at the No. 6 spot against Tufts (5-3). The defending national champion Crimson (10-1) won every game in posting their seventh sweep of the season in their fifth straight win.
Amherst is back in action this weekend to compete for the Little Three Championship with matches at 16th-ranked Williams on Friday and 29th-ranked Wesleyan on Sunday.
