MIDDLEBURY, Vt. – First-year Eve Giancarlo broke the Mammoths pole vault record and the Amherst College women's track and field team won the Middlebury Winterfell, finishing first in a field of 10 teams that included Division I Vermont on Saturday at Virtue Field House.

Hecker matched her mark of 3.25m and sophomore Mia Bawendi was just behind at 3.10m, also matching her New England qualifying mark from a week ago.
The Mammoths won eight events and scored 187 points, finishing ahead of second-place Vermont's 139 points.
