Fourth straight win for #17 Amherst with 9-0 sweep of #30 Haverford

AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College men's squash team won every game in a 9-0 sweep of Haverford College in the Pioneer Valley Invitational on Sunday at the Davenport Squash Courts. It was the fourth straight win and second straight sweep for the Mammoths (6-3), ranked 17th in the nation in the latest CSA rankings, and the third straight loss for the 30th-ranked Fords (4-5).

Junior Adam Lichtmacher improved to 5-0 this season with his win at the No. 3 spot. First-year Matthew Granovsky won his fifth straight match as well, dropping only 10 points in his match at the No. 6 position.

The Mammoths are back in action on Wednesday (Jan. 19), hosting NESCAC foe Middlebury at 4:30 p.m.
