1/15/2022 10:50:00 PM

MIDDLETOWN, Conn. – Senior Troy Colleran broke a 44-year-old school record in the pole vault as the Amherst College men's track and field team launched the indoor season at the Little Three Championships on Saturday at Wesleyan's Bacon Field House. Colleran cleared 4.60m to smash the previous mark of 4.42m set by Richard Minicus '78.

With rosters depleted by COVID-19 protocols on all fronts, there was no team scoring at the meet and no Little Three champion will be crowned this season for the second year in a row.

The Mammoths are back in action on Saturday, Jan. 22, visiting Middlebury for the Snowflake Classic.
