PHILADELPHIA -- The 13th-ranked Amherst College women's squash team opened the season with a pair of dual meet wins over 18th-ranked Dickinson College and 10th-ranked Stanford University on Saturday at the Penn Squash Center.
Tanmai Pathak made her collegiate debut with a win at the top of the ladder to lead the Mammoths to an 8-1 win over the Red Devils (1-5) and Amherst's depth at the bottom of the ladder boosted the Mammoths to a 5-4 win over the Cardinal (0-3).
Callie Delalio, Lilly Soroko, Isabelle Tilney-Sandberg and Maggie Pearson all won both of their matches and both Tilney-Sandberg and Pearson did so without dropping a set.
The Mammoths wrap up their weekend in Philadelphia with a clash of two undefeated teams as Amherst visits 7th-ranked Drexel (5-0) on Sunday (Nov. 21) at 10am.
