NEW HAVEN, Conn. – Recording their seventh sweep on the season, No. 17 Amherst women's squash blanked Wesleyan (Conn.), 9-0, in semifinals action of the College Squash Association (CSA) Walker Cup Championship on Saturday morning to advance to the title game at Brady Squash Center.

Improving to 13-6 on the season, the Mammoths will face Franklin and Marshall College for the Walker Cup Championship tomorrow, February 23^, at 8:45 a.m.

Not dropping a match in the last two competitions, Amherst won in straight-sets during six of the nine matches against the Cardinals.

Daksha Pathak '23 jumped out to a 1-0 lead (11-7) over Aditi Prasad at the top of the ladder, but the Cardinal foe stole the second set 11-4 to knot things at 1-1. Pathak edged Prasad by 11-9 score lines in the final two sets to win at #1.

Winning in straight sets, Lauren Weil '23 downed Ananya Vir 11-9, 11-7, 11-2 before Lilly Soroko '22 picked up a quick win of her own at #3, winning 11-7, 11-2, 11-6 over Josephine Russ.

Losing in her first set to Valeria Osorio at #4, Caroline Conway '20 answered with 11-7, 11-6 wins to go up 2-1 before fighting hard to clinch a 12-10 victory in the final set, winning 3-1.

At #5, Riddhi Sampat '21 secured an 11-6, 11-4, 11-5 win over Natasha Feenstra before Pierson Klein '20 fell behind early to Nina Premutico at #6, but rattled off 11-4, 12-10, 11-5 wins in the final three sets to pick up the 3-1 triumph.

Winning in straight-sets for the second consecutive match, Margaret Werner '21 shut down Sofia Melian-Morse at #7 (11-7, 11-7, 11-6) before Katy Sabina Correia '20 won 11-5, 11-3, 11-8 at #8.

Rounding out the day at #9, Keeley Osborn '22 downed Annie Roach 11-4, 11-5 to go up 2-0 before holding the Cardinal to 11-1 in the final set to complete the straight-set sweep.
