No. 8 Men's Tennis Falls to No. 2 Bowdoin, 9-0

BRUNSWICK, Maine – The eighth-ranked Amherst College men's tennis team fell to No. 2 Bowdoin College, 9-0 in dual match action Sunday afternoon at the Maine Pines Tennis Center.

SINGLES HIGHLIGHTS

  • In number on singles action Anton Zykov '17 fell to Luke Tercek, 6-4, 7-5, while Andrew Yaraghi '16 fell to Jerry Jiang in two close sets (7-6, 6-4) on court four.
  • On court three, Zach Bessette '19 lost a two-set contest to Kyle Wolfe, 6-3, 6-3. 

DOUBLES HIGHLIGHTS

  • Bowdoin swept doubles action as Aaron Revzin '16 and Michael Solimano '16 fell, 8-2 to Tercek and Luke Trinka on the number one court.  
  • From the number two court, Wolfe and Jiang defeated Zykov and Yaraghi, 8-4; while Gil Roddy and Grant Urken clinched an 9-8 victory over Ben Fife '16 and Bessette.
