Jeffs Downed at Bowdoin, 8-1

April 21, 2002 

AMHERST, MA -The Amherst College men's tennis team fell to conference rival Bowdoin College on Sunday, dropping the Jeffs record to 3-7. The Polar Bears outmatched the host Jeffs to take the win, 8-1. The lone bright spot on the day was a 9-7 nailbiter win at #2 doubles from junior Andy Tsai (Tampa, FL) and senior co-captain Peter Ransmeier (Concord, NH). In singles play, senior George Tsai (Tampa, FL) put up a good fight, going to three sets with Bowdoin's Patrick Keneally before dropping the match, 1-6, 7-6, 7-5. 

The Jeffs return to action against visiting M.I.T. on Wednesday afternoon at 3:30 p.m., before hosting the NESCAC Championship this weekend.
