SPRINGFIELD, MA – Reigning NESCAC Player of the Week Joe Gannon (Hanson, MA) scored a pair of goals and assisted on two others, and junior teammate Jeff Cantwell (Randolph, NJ) connected on a pair of tallies in the game's first 27 minutes to lead the Amherst College men's soccer team to its third straight win, 6-0, at Western New England College on Tuesday. The Jeffs improved to 6-3-1 and remain undefeated (3-0-1) against non-conference opponents.

First-year Greg Lockwood (Vancouver, WA) and sophomore Dan Glenn (Berkeley, CA) combined in goal for the shutout, Amherst's fourth of the season.

The Jeffs return to action Saturday at 2 p.m. at NESCAC and Little Three rival Wesleyan University.
