Joining the Mammoths in March 2021, Jesse Flannery enters his first season as an assistant coach on the Amherst men's basketball staff.
A 2018 graduate of Johns Hopkins University with a bachelor's degree in Economics and Political Science, Flannery also owns a Master's degree from VCU's prestigious Center for Sport Leadership and comes to the Pioneer Valley following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant for the Division I VCU Rams.

Working closely with multiple All-League selections and under the 2019 Atlantic 10 Conference Coach of the Year, Flannery's time with the Rams saw the team receive votes in both the Associated Press and USA Today/Coaches Top-25 polls, win a regular-season school-record 25 contests, take home an A10 regular season championship, and make a NCAA March Madness tournament appearance. A native of Lewisburg, Pa., Flannery also brings substantial playing experience to the Mammoths' sidelines, having appeared in over 100 games during his collegiate career for the Division III Blue Jays. Co-captaining the team during his senior season and named a conference All-Sportsmanship selection, Flannery helped JHU capture the 2018 Centennial Conference championship title and boasts two NCAA postseason appearances on his resume.
