Amherst College Athletics

Alex Balogh joined the Amherst football coaching staff in July 2022. With the Mammoths, Balogh is the wide receivers coach, the recruiting coordinator, and a special teams assistant coach. He also manages Amherst football’s social media.

Before Amherst, Balogh was a graduate assistant coach at Case Western Reserve University. There,  Balogh spent one season as the running back and tight ends coach while also serving as the strength and conditioning coach. Under his direction, one of the Spartans earned first team all-conference honors. 

Prior to coaching at Case, Balogh coached linebackers at the high school level at the University school for one year.

Balogh played football for four years at Denison University, graduating in 2020. Throughout his tenure, the Big Red earned two conference championships. 

Balogh graduated from Denison with a degree in economics and then earned a master’s degree in organizational behavior from Case Western.
