Elle Brine enters her third season at Amherst as an assistant coach.
She joined the Amherst College field hockey staff in September of 2021 after spending one year as the head coach of Amherst Regional High School's field hockey team.
Amherst is her first collegiate coaching position. Brine is a 2020 graduate of Bowdoin College, where she was a double major in English and philosophy and played four years of varsity field hockey and lacrosse.
Brine was named 1st team All-NESCAC, 1st team All-Region, and 2nd team All-American in 2019 for field hockey. She led the NESCAC in assists that season.
She received the "Society of Bowdoin Women Award", which is presented to a senior member of a Bowdoin varsity team in recognition of unselfish play through cooperation, effort and sportsmanship.
