CAMBRIDGE, MA. – The Amherst College men's tennis team continued play at the MIT Invitational on Saturday, earning six singles victories across matchups with Brandeis University and Tufts University while losing its three doubles matches against Babson College. Amherst was particularly sharp in its opening singles round against Brandeis, collecting four wins before facing a challenging Tufts lineup later in the day.
The Mammoths combined for six singles victories, with several matches decided by tiebreakers and match tiebreaks. Amherst's Brandeis round featured wins from

HIGHLIGHTS
- Jack Reis earned his second college singles win, defeating Brandeis' Garbett, 7–5, 6–2.
- Alex Brzov outlasted Wang Fan of Brandeis in two tight sets, 7–6 (7), 7–6 (4), before later pushing Tufts' Jackson Rich to a third-set match tiebreak.
- Rex Harrison controlled his Brandeis match against Dong, 6–1, 6–2, for one of Amherst's four wins in the opening round.
- Andy Lee rebounded from a second-set loss against Brandeis' Lorenz, winning 6–0, 4–6, 10–4 in a match tiebreak.
- Ethan Ohm bounced back after a singles loss against Brandeis, with a decisive 6–3 6–2 victory over Tufts.
