Petersen and Raven Earn All-America Nods from IWLCA

NORTHBOROUGH, Mass. - Two members of the Amherst women's lacrosse team earned All-American recognition from the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association (IWLCA), it was announced today. Senior captain Emily Petersen (Mountain Lakes, N.J.) was named to the First Team, while junior Mia Raven (Philadelphia, Pa.) was named to the Second Team.

Petersen earns her second IWLCA All-America nod, picking up where she left off from her junior season. She also earned her second consecutive All-American nod from USA Lacrosse earlier this month. Petersen led the way in goals scored for the second consecutive season with 48 goals, including three game-winners and nine free position goals. She also led the team in draw controls with 83, 15 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers. Petersen earned All-NESCSC First Team selection earlier this month, and her second nod to All-NESCAC.

Raven earns her second IWLCA All-America nod in a row. In her 13 games, she scored nine goals and assisted on 13 of her teammates. Raven was third in winning draw controls with 42 and fourth on the team with 21 ground balls. She was named to the All-NESCAC First Team the last two seasons after winning Rookie of the Year and named to the All-NESCAC Second Team in 2024.

The Mammoths finished the 2026 season at 13-5 overall and 7-3 in conference, making it into the NESCAC Quarterfinals and hosting the NCAA First Round for the second consecutive year. Their season came to a close in the Sweet Sixteen.
