AMHERST, Mass. - Eleven members of the Amherst College women's swimming and diving team have qualified for the 2026 NCAA Championships at the IU Natatorium in Indianapolis, Ind., from Wednesday, March 18 to Saturday, March 21.
Senior Donna Zhang and first-year
Brooke Ronan both qualify to compete in the diving championships after strong performances in this past weekend's diving regionals hosted by Connecticut College. Zhang finished second in both the one-meter and the three meter boards. Ronan finished third in the three-meter board and fourth in the one-meter board.
Junior Paige Arnold qualified to race in the 200 IM, 100 fly, and 100 free as an individual. Arnold will also compete on the 800 free, 400 free, 200 free, and 400 medley relay teams. Senior
Joline Fong will race for the 200 and 400 medley relay teams.
First-year Ava Insteness will compete in the 200 Free and in the 800 free relay. Junior
Maeve Kelley qualified to race in the 200 free, 200 fly, 100 fly, 400 free relay, 400 medley relay, and 800 free relay.
Senior Diane Koo will swim in the 200 free relay, and first-year
Penny Lazar will compete in the 1650 free and the 800 free relay. First-year
Katy Niziol will swim in the 200 medley relay. Junior
Lucy Smith qualified for the 200 free relay, 200 medley relay, and 400 free relay. Sophomore
Sydney Thompson will compete in the 400 medley relay, 200 free relay, 400 free relay, 200 medley relay, 100 free, and 50 free.
