SARATOGA SPRINGS, NY– The 10th-ranked Amherst College men's tennis team opened its 2026 spring season with a dominant road performance, cruising past Skidmore College 7–0 in non-conference action on Saturday afternoon. The Mammoths two out of three doubles courts to claim the doubles point, then rolled through singles with only dropping one set, showcasing the depth of the team in their first dual match of the year.
In the 2024-2045 season, the Mammoths finished 16–8 overall, earning a spot in the NCAA Division III Team Championship, where they reached the round of 32.
HIGHLIGHTS
• Sophomore
Albert Hu delivered the most one-sided result of the day at No. 6 singles, dropping just three games in a 6–2, 6–1 victory to get the 4
th point and clinch the match for the Mammoths.
• Junior
Rex Harrison battled back for a gritty three-set win at No. 4 singles, rallying from a set down to prevail 2–6, 6–4, 10–4 in the match tiebreak.
