#10 Mammoth women cruise past St. Lawrence, 9-0

AMHERST, MA — The #10 Amherst College women's squash team capped an impressive weekend with a 9–0 sweep over #22 St. Lawrence on Sunday at Davenport Squash Courts. Fresh off clinching the Little Three championship on Saturday, the Mammoths backed up their title with a second straight sweep, conceding no matches and dropping just two sets across the matches. This flawless performance extends Amherst's win streak to eight matches. With the victory, Amherst improves to 13–1 overall and 8–0 in NESCAC play. The Mammoths maintain their perfect conference record and continue to build separation in the conference standings.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS:

  • Clara Dawn posted the fastest win of the day at #7 singles against Ksenia Merkulova, securing a a strong 3–0 victory (11–2, 11–1, 11–1). The match lasted for 13 minutes. 

  • Four Mammoths tied for the second-quickest wins of the match, each finishing in just 15 minutes: Ella Miller, Katherine Grissom, Frances Burton, and Fionnoula Brandon. They all won in straight sets.
