AMHERST, MA. – Junior forward
Josh Burke (Tampa, Fla.) of the Amherst College men's hockey team was awarded New England Hockey Writers Association (NEWHA) Men's Division II-III All-Star honors when they were announced today.
Burke earns his first All-Star selection after a season where he led the Mammoths in points, notching 22 on seven goals and 15 assists. His two shorthanded goals paced the squad, and he was one of only two players in the conference to record more than one. Additionally, his 15 assists were fifth in the conference, and his 22 total points ranked sixth. This production, much of which came in the latter half of the year, was integral to the Mammoths' late-season surge to a NESCAC Quarterfinal appearance.
Burke's NEWHA Division II-III All-Star selection marks his second individual award for his play during the 2024-25 campaign: he was also accorded All-NESCAC First Team honors last month.
