MIDDLEBURY, VT. – Marek Hill accounted for three touchdowns Saturday, leading the Amherst College football team to a 27-17 victory over Middlebury at Youngman Field at Alumni Stadium.

The Mammoths controlled the game through three quarters, building a commanding 27-3 lead before the Panthers mounted a late fourth-quarter rally. QB Hill rushed for two touchdowns in the first quarter and orchestrated an efficient offensive attack that accumulated 372 total yards. Running back Cato Legaspi added a rushing touchdown in the third quarter, while kicker Hudson Fulcher-Melendy contributed two field goals to round out Amherst's scoring.

Amherst improved to 3-1 on the year (3-1 in conference play). The Mammoths will return to action next Saturday in an away game against Bowdoin.
