GAME HIGHLIGHTS
*The Mammoths had a fast start, and 3 minutes into the game, a foul drawn by Junior
Sophia Haynes after a pass from senior
Abby Schwartz led the Mammoths to their first goal. The free kick was taken just outside of the 18- yard box by sophomore
Precious Novidzro, who sent the ball flying and forced the Spirit's Taryn Ryan to make a save. Ryan couldn't hold on to the ball, and senior captain
Patience Kum coolly finished the rebound in the back of the net to put the mammoths up 1-0.

Kate Quigley,
Alyssa Huynh,
Carter Hollingsworth,
Jessica Lomo, Katie Pederson, and
Halle Hanna raised the level of play tremendously as they entered the game, generating even more attacks and dangerous shots to close out the half.
The Mammoths continued to dominate in the second half, switching formations and throwing more numbers forward on the attack. Some notable shots were from Novidzro in the 79th minute, Huynh in the 85th minute, and a free kick from freshman
Abigail Danso in the 52nd minute
*With 1:18 left in the game, Springfield equalized on a counter attack. The mammoths responded urgently, throwing numbers forward and becoming more direct, and were able to draw two dangerous fouls, but ultimately could not clinch the win. The game ended 1-1.
