HADLEY, Mass. -- The New England Small College Athletic Conference recognized three members of the Amherst women's lacrosse team for their efforts this season. Sophomores
Clara Sosa and
Jessye Salmon along with first-year
Mia Raven all earned Second Team All-NESCAC honors. Raven also took home the NESCAC Rookie of the Year award this season.
Raven was prolific offensively, racking up 25 goals and 16 assists for a total of 41 points. She was equally impressive on defense, leading the team with 85 draw controls, 42 caused turnovers and 43 ground balls.
Sosa produced another strong offensive season, scoring 29 goals and 12 assists for a total of 41 points.Over tw seasons, Sosa had 68 goals and 23 assists for 91 points in her career to date.
Salmon excelled in goal this season, earning 111 saves and a .399 save percentage. She averaged 6.94 saves per game, second in the conference.Â
Ending the season ranked 17th in the nation, the Mammoths were 8-8 overall.
