#15 Amherst down #43 Trinity 8-1 to improve to 6-0 in NESCAC

AMHERST, MA – On Tuesday evening, the #15 Amherst College men's tennis team beat the #43 Trinity College Bantams convincingly with a score of 8-1 on the Mammoths' outdoor courts. 

Today's midweek brings Amherst's season record to 11-2 (6-0 in NESCAC). Up next: after beating Wesleyan earlier in the season, Amherst are aiming to win the Little Three rivalry this coming Saturday. The Mammoths will host the #5 Williams College Ephs at 12pm on their outdoor courts (if the weather permits).

HIGHLIGHTS:
  • The Mammoths won in doubles at the #1 and #3 spots to earn a 2-1 lead heading into singles.The home side then swept all six singles matches.
  • First-year Ethan Ohm recorded his first singles win of the season in three sets at the #6 spot.
  • With their fourth consecutive win and sixth in the NESCAC, Amherst secure a spot in the NESCAC Tournament beginning Friday May 3rd.
