GAME HIGHLIGHTS:
* The Amherst 10th began with a
Tyler McCord single. He was forced out at second by
Jack Boyle's fielder's choice. Boyle went to second on a wild pitch but
Jack Sampedro flew out to right for the second out.
Jack McDermott was intentionally walked before another wild pitch sent the runners to second and third. McIntyre then crushed a baseball over the fence in left field for the game-winning three-run home run.
* The Mammoths had jumped out to a 4-0 lead with four runs in the bottom of the first inning.
Jack Sampedro led off with a single and went to second on
Luke Padian's two-out single to center.
Jack Dove then drove a ball to straightaway center that one-hopped the fence and went for an RBI-double and a 1-0 lead.
Christian Fagnant followed with a majestic blast to right that cleared the fence for a three-run home run and the 4-0 lead.
* Framingham tied the game with a four-run top of the third inning. Amherst answered with a single run in its half. With two outs and no one, Dove ripped a single through the right side of the infield. He took second on a wild pitch and scored when Fagnant ripped an RBI-single back up the middle for a 5-4 lead.
* The Mammoths added a single insurance run in the fourth. Again, they had no one on base with two outs, but McDermott singled and stole second. McIntyre then ripped a single through the left side to score McDermott and give the Mammoths a 6-4 lead.
* It stayed that way until the ninth when the Rams tied the score on a two-run single. But that only set up McIntyre's 10th-inning heroics.
