WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Williams College won the Little Three championship with a 183-113 win over the Amherst College women's swimming and diving team in a dual meet on Saturday at Samuelson-Muir Pool. The Mammoths won five events in the meet.
The Ephs, ranked seventh in the nation in the latest CSCAA Division III poll, won their 15th straight Little Three title to remain unbeaten in dual meets this season, while handing the Mammoths (3-1) their first loss of the season.
The Mammoths return to action on Saturday, Jan. 27, hosting Connecticut College at 1 p.m. Amherst's seniors will be honored before their final meet in Pratt Pool.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS:
* First-year
Paige Arnold won two events, claiming the 100-yard freestyle in 52.91 seconds and winning the 200-yard individual medley in a season-best 2:08.69, and has now won two events in each of the first four meets of the season.
* First-year
Maeve Kelley won the 1000-yard freestyle with a season-best time of 10:22.34 and has now won six individual races through her first four collegiate meets.
* Sophomore
Donna Zhang won her second one-meter diving competition this season, scoring 264.37 points over six dives.
* The Amherst quartet of junior
