Bantams skate to 3-0 win over Mammoths

HARTFORD, Conn. – The Trinity College men's hockey team scored three unanswered goals at Koeppel Community Sports Center Saturday evening en route to a 3-0 win over Amherst College.

The Mammoths are 3-3-0 overall and 1-2-0 in conference play. They are back in action Friday, December 8th at 7 p.m. for their fifth away game of the season against Williams College.

GAME HIGHLIGHTS
* In the opening 12 minutes of the initial period, the Bantams unleashed 11 shots on goal, yet Alex Wisco thwarted every offensive attempt the opposing team launched at the net.

* Bantam defenseman Ned Blanchard received the puck at the left point of Amherst's zone and sent it to John Campomenosi who then passed it to the right face-off circle for Spencer Korona to pick up. The winger skated into the high slot and found Campomenosi off to his right and sent it to him for a one-timer into the net at 9:46 for their first goal of the evening.

* Trinity's second goal at 15:03 in the third period began with senior Christian Hayes's pass to junior Nicholas Siffringer who was in a puck scrum against the boards. Siffringer fed the puck to Jacob Smith from behind the net for a deflection into the goal just off the right side of the net.

* At 18:31 of the third period, Gerard Maretta picked up a clear from the Bantam's zone for a breakaway towards the open net to settle the score at 3-0.
