AMHERST, MA -- The Amherst College men's soccer team with travel to Worcester Polytechnic Institute to take on SUNY-Polytechnic Institute in the first round of the 2023 NCAA Div. III Tournament this Saturday, November 11th. 

The Mammoths improved to 12-3-3 Sunday when they captured the 2023 NESCAC Tournament Championship with a 1-0 win over Tufts University. The NESCAC title was the seventh in program history.  This will be the 22nd NCAA Tournament for the Mammoths, who have advanced to the national championship game in 2019 and 2021. They advanced to the third round of the tourney as recently as last year and have an all-time record of 46-14-2 in the NCAA Tournament. 

Site host WPI will face Stevens Institute on Saturday (Nov. 11) at 1:30 p.m. after Amherst and SUNY-Poly square off at 11 a.m.The winners advance to Sunday's second round at 1 p.m. Watch the game HERE. Follow Live Stats HERE. 

The Mammoths are currently ranked No. 13 in the nation and No. 2 in Region 1. SUNY Poly beat Husson University on Saturday afternoon 2-1 in the North Atlantic Conference Championship. The Wildcats scored on a header from Matthew McCord in 2OT to secure the conference championship.
