AMHERST, Mass. – First-year goaltender
Natalie Stott recorded her sixth shutout of the season as the Amherst College women's ice hockey team allowed only nine shots on goal and won their 13th straight game with a 5-0 victory over Norwich University on Tuesday night at Orr Rink.
The Mammoths, ranked fourth in the nation in the latest USCHO Division III poll and first in the Pairwise Rankings that determine selections to the NCAA Tournament, improved to 14-1 overall as they extended the longest winning streak in the nation. The Cadets, ranked eighth in the USCHO poll, fell to 10-5-1.
The Mammoths return to action on Friday (Jan. 20), visiting Little Three rival Wesleyan at 7 p.m. for a NESCAC clash.
