AMHERST, Mass. – The Amherst College women's tennis team thrashed the Hamilton College Continentals on Saturday The Mammoths ceased to lose any of the 3 doubles matches, and they won 5 of the 6 singles matches which took place, to win 8-1 overall. The match took place in glorious sunny weather at home, on Amherst's outdoor courts. This concluded a successful Senior Day, during which the team celebrate the team's 5 seniors on their last home match of the regular season. Amherst are now on a 4-match win streak.
Amherst began with a 3-0 lead in the doubles. The Mammoths then dominated the singles, winning 5 of the 6. Notably,
Mia Kintiroglou '25 ceased to drop a game at the #3 singles spot, winning 6-0 6-0.

Amherst improved its record to 9-5 (6-2 in NESCAC). During this week, the team will prepare for their last matches of the regular season, where they will play 3 matches over the next weekend. The Mammoths first travel to Cambridge, Massachusetts, to take on the #6 Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) Engineers on Friday, April 29
th. This will take place on the Dupont Tennis Courts at 5pm Eastern Time. Amherst will then take on the Bates College Bobcats on the Saturday, and the #10 Tufts University Jumbos on the Sunday, in two away matches.
