REDLANDS, CA – The Amherst College men's tennis team extended their winning streak to three matches in a row after fighting past the #17 University of Redlands Bulldogs 6-3. Despite competing in their third match in as many days, the Mammoths ceased to show any signs of fatigue at the Verdieck Tennis Courts Wednesday.
The Purple and White were off to a difficult start in the doubles, losing 2 out of the 3 doubles matches.
Damien Ruparel '22 and
Sujit Chepuri '25 were the only doubles pair who to pull through with a doubles win, in a close contest with a score of 8-7 (8-6). Despite this setback, the Mammoths thrived in the singles, winning 5 of the 6 matches.

The Mammoths have one day off from matches, in which they will practice and rest up, before the Stag Hen Invitational on Friday and Saturday – a tournament in which the Mammoths will play 3 dual matches in 2 days. Amherst will head to the tournament with lots of confidence and with a perfect record of 3-0 for this year's spring season. The team's first match will be against #3 Washington University in St. Louis, at 1 PM ET on Friday, at the Biszantz Family Tennis Center in Claremont, CA.
