AMHERST, Mass. – First-year
Alex Zorn swept the two freestyle sprints and swam in two winning relays to help the Amherst College women's swimming and diving team to a 184.5-115.5 win over NESCAC rival Middlebury College in a dual meet on Saturday afternoon at Pratt Pool.
The Mammoths, ranked 14th in the nation in the latest CSCAA Division III poll, improved to 3-0 this season with their fifth straight dual-meet win, a streak that dates back to last season. The Panthers fell to 1-1 on the young season.
The Mammoths are back in action on New Year's Eve (Sat., Dec. 31), visiting Union for a dual meet at noon.

Jennifer Adams teamed with Zorn and Eng to capture the 400-yard freestyle relay in 3:37.21.
* Zorn posted season-best times in both freestyle sprints, leading an Amherst sweep of the top three spots in the 50-yard freestyle with a time of 24.43 and winning the 100 free in 53.18. Zorn is 5-for-5 in the freestyle sprint races through the first three meets of her collegiate career.

Jennifer Adams won the two middle distance freestyle races. Adams picked up her first wins of the season with a time of 1:56.35 in the 200-yard freestyle and a mark of 5:!6.91 in the 500-yard freestyle.

Sydney Bluestein swept the diving events, winning on the one-meter board with a score of 282.51 and taking the three-meter event with a score of 278.17. Bluestein is now qualified for the NCAA Diving Regionals on both boards. First-year
Donna Zhang finished second in the one-meter event with her score of 266.47 qualifying her for the NCAA Regionals.
* For the third straight meet, Lacroix swept the breaststroke races, winning the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:06.25 and posting a time of 2:23.73 to win the 200-yard breaststroke.

Ally Bradley won the 100-yard backstroke for the second time in two starts this season, posting a time of 59.53.

Diane Koo won her fourth race in three meets this season, capturing the 200-yard butterfly with a mark of 2:12.19.
