GAME HIGHLIGHTS
  * Amherst had a great chance to take an early lead with a man-up situation only 3:40 into the contest.
Ben Kuzma fired a shot from the left circle that just missed the net, and
Matt Toporowski's rebound was stopped by Beran, then trickled through the crease but slid away harmlessly. Amherst finished the man-up opportunity with five more shots, but could not light up the scoreboard.Â
  * Colby took the lead with the only goal it would need with 8:29 on the clock. John McElaney won the puck on the right boards in the Mammoths' zone and slipped a feed to Jake Klein in the circle, who then sent a quick pass to Diouf just above the left circle. Diouf rifled a one-time in the left side of the goal for the 1-0 lead. With 3:48 left in the period, Doyle took a pass from Klein in the slot and fired a shot past Leslie right side top shelf for the 2-0 advantage.Â
