GAME HIGHLIGHTS
* The Mammoths trailed 1-0 for much of the game after an early Colonel goal. Stultz took matters into his own hands in the third, winning a face-off just outside of the Curry zone. A quick ensuing scrum saw the puck make its way back to the Mammoth center. He wheeled around to his right, carrying the puck into the Colonel zone and down thew right boards. Stults cut left toward the Curry goal as teammate
Bobby Luca raced down the slot. Just as it seemed Luca might have a chance to swat the puck, Stults flipped the puck one-handed toward the goal and it floated past the goalie and into the net to tie the game.Â
* With 4:34 to go in the third,
Alton Machen found himself alone in the slot with the stick on the tape and he fired a shot, but it was smothered by Curry goalie Reid Cooper.Â
* Late in the third, Amherst drew a penalty and Curry was on the power-play for the final 1:40 of regulation.
