NORTHAMPTON, Mass. – Opening the 2021 season with a 3-0 sweep of Smith College, the Amherst College volleyball team pushed past the Pioneers 25-16, 25-18, 25-9 Thursday evening at Ainsworth Gymnasium.

With the win, Amherst opens the year at 1-0, while Smith drops to 4-2 on the season. The Mammoths return to action this Saturday, Sept. 11 when they travel to Western New England for a tri-match with the Golden Bears and Emerson. First serve is slated for 11:00AM and 1:00PM, respectively.
