MIDDLEBURY, Vt. -- First-year Megan Lee won three individual races to help the Amherst College women's swimming and diving team to a 194-103 win over NESCAC foe Middlebury College on Saturday at the Middlebury Natatorium.
The Mammoths (3-0), ranked 14th in the nation in the latest CSCAA Division III poll, topped the Panthers (1-1) in a dual meet for the sixth straight season.
The Mammoths are off until 2022, opening the new year with a dual meet against Union on New Year's Day at Pratt Pool.
MEET HIGHLIGHTS
- Lee finished in a tie with junior Jessica Gordon to share the win in the 200-yard freestyle with both Mammoths touching in 1:53.36. Lee went on to win the 500-yard freestyle and the 200-yard individual medley.
- Senior Marie Fagan swept the butterfly events, winning at 100 and 200 yards, and was part of the winning 200-yard freestyle relay team along with Gordon and sophomores Lauren Eng and Emma Lee. Eng was also a winner in the 100-yard freestyle.
- Senior Hannah Karlin swept the diving event, winning on the 1-meter and 3-meter boards.
- First-year Allison LaCroix swept the breaststroke events, winning at 100 and 200 yards.
- Other Mammoth winners included junior Maggie McNamara in the 1000-yard freestyle, first-year Cora Spelke in the 200-yard backstroke and sophomore Grace Walker in the 50-yard freestyle.
