AMHERST, MA - The Mammoths were back at their home LeFrak Gymnasium on Friday night for a matchup with Wellesley College. After taking two tough 3-0 losses on the road to Tufts and Bowdoin last weekend, the Mammoths got back to their winning ways with a 3-0 victory to improve to 12-3 overall and 5-3 in the NESCAC. Wellesley falls to 7-9 and 3-5 in the NEWMAC Conference.

Amherst controlled the match from the start as they led in almost every statistical category. With big margins in kills, assists and digs, the Mammoths breezed through the first two sets 25-17 and 25-14 and squeaked out a 25-23 win in the final frame. Amherst was led by
Jamie Dailey'22E who had 15 kills and 14 assists and
Sophie Launsbach'22 who finished the match with 9 kills on 18 attempts (50%).

Carly Cooper'24 contributed 33 assists and 7 digs for the Mammoths. For Wellesley, Nicole Doerges led the way with 13 kills on 38 attempts (34.2%) and TylerBell Smith had 10 kills on 23 attempts (43.47%).
