PRINCETON, N.J. - The 17th-ranked Amherst women's squash team advanced to the Walker Cup (C Division) finals at the College Squash Association (CSA) Team Championships with a 5-4 victory over No. 20 Bowdoin College.

With the win, the Jeffs improved to 10-9 on the season and will face No. 18 Franklin & Marshall on Sunday, Feb. 23 at 10:30 a.m. Earlier this season, Amherst earned a 6-3 decision over the Diplomats on the final day of the Pioneer Valley Invitational.

Dispatching of the Jeffs' Ericka Robertson '16 at the top of the lineup, Rachel Barnes '15 posted wins of 11-8, 11-9 and 11-9. Sarah Nelson '17 took care of Arielle Lehman '15 in the second position, 3-1 (11-7, 11-8, 7-11, 11-6), while Michaela Martin '14 ousted Meyha Sud '16, 3-1 (11-7, 11-7, 6-11, 11-6).

Dropping the first two sets of her fourth position match against Alden Drake '15, Tiana Palmer-Poroner '17 captured the third by a score of 11-6 before taking the fourth frame 11-8. Completing the comeback, she closed things out with an 11-7 triumph in the tiebreak. 

Chloe Polikoff '17 defeated Evelyn Kramer '14, 3-1 (11-8, 11-13, 11-4, 11-7), while Khushy Aggarwal '16 ground out another five-set victory for Amherst, turning away Sara Wlodarczyk '15, 3-2 (6-11, 11-8, 10-12, 11-4, 11-7).

Continuing her hot streak, Taryn Clary '16 won her ninth-straight match with a 3-0 (11-6, 13-11, 11-4) decision over Christiana Whitcomb '14 at No. 7, while Corri Johnson '16 handled Emily Simonton '15, 3-1 (11-8, 16-14, 10-12, 11-9). Holding her own at the bottom of the order, Lena Rice '14 blanked Lila Wright '16, 3-0 (11-3, 11-5, 11-4).
