Ross Silverberg joined the Amherst College men's tennis program as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator in 2026 after spending the 2025-26 season with the women's tennis program.

Under Silverberg's guidance as assistant coach and recruiting coordinator for the Amherst women's team, the Mammoths reached the round of 16 in the NCAA Tournament, falling in a tight contest to the eventual national champion Wesleyan University. Sophomore Tina She achieved a No. 3 national ranking in singles, was selected as the NESCAC Player of the Year and was named an All-American. Five players were tabbed for All-NESCAC honors and four student-athletes earned Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators.
 
Silverberg came to Amherst after serving as the assistant coach for the Swarthmore College women's team. In the 2024-25 season, Swarthmore won the Centennial Conference title for the first time since 2006. The team also reached the second round in the NCAA Tournament, which was its first NCAA appearance since 2007. Silverberg helped guide Swarthmore to a program-record seven selections to the All-Centennial Team. For these efforts, Silverberg was a recipient of the 2025 Centennial Conference Coaching Staff of the Year alongside head coach Jeremy Loomis and was elevated to associate head coach.

In his first season with the team, Swarthmore achieved a top-20 national ranking and reached the Centennial Conference Championship. Six individual players earned All-Centennial recognition, including first-team selections in both singles and doubles. The first doubles pairing qualified for the NCAA Tournament and 10 individuals earned Academic Honor Roll accolades from the Centennial Conference.
 
Prior to joining Swarthmore, Silverberg coached the Cherry Hill High School East boys tennis team. In that role, Silverberg led the team to a top-10 state ranking and the South Jersey Group IV title. Silverberg has coached numerous players competing collegiately and has also instructed at the University of Pennsylvania Tennis Center, Philadelphia Country Club, Loomis Racquet Academy and Berlin Voorhees Tennis Center. In the summer of 2025, Silverberg became founder and director of the Haddon Township Summer Tennis Camp.
 
Silverberg graduated from Franklin and Marshall College (F&M) in 2013, majoring in government and minoring in economics. He was the No. 1 singles and doubles player for the Diplomats and team captain. Additionally, he was one of only two Centennial Conference Player of the Year award winners in program history. He earned All-Centennial First Team honors on three occasions, which made him just the 15^th in conference history to accomplish that feat at the time. Silverberg totaled seven All-Centennial accolades in his career with four singles awards and three doubles honors. He is tied for the F&M career leader in wins with a 66-22 record, while his 20-9 mark in 2013 is tied for the Diplomats' single-season record.
 
After graduating from F&M, Silverberg earned a law degree from Georgetown University Law Center and then completed a master's in education from Rutgers University. Silverberg has practiced law and taught social studies for multiple years.
