Emma Thompson joined the Amherst College field hockey coaching staff in 2026 after a stellar playing career at Indiana University.
A four-year starter in the backfield, Thompson was selected as a captain of the Hoosiers for her final two seasons earned Second Team All-Big Ten honors and a spot on the Big Ten All-Tournament Team as a senior in 2025.
Thompson also gained experience as a summer intern with the Indiana University Athletics Excellence Academy in 2025 and represented the Hoosiers in the community as a volunteer reading to elementary school students with Read Across America.
Originally from Auckland, New Zealand, Thompson graduated from Indiana in 2026 with a degree in media and a concentration in sports media.
