A MESSAGE FROM DIRECTOR OF ATHLETICS DON FAULSTICK

Dear Friends of Athletics:

Coming off the 2020-21 pandemic season where only a few teams played and many studied remotely, this year's students' accomplishments were more impressive than ever.

A special thanks goes out to the class of 2022; your contributions and leadership was instrumental in our teams' successes on and off the playing surfaces.

Alums, parents and faculty – thank you for your continued support and encouragement for our teams. Even though we had some campus restrictions, it was awesome to see you at games supporting the student-athletes.

We continue to attract top-notch student-athletes who are driven in both academics and athletics. Attached is a recap of their accomplishments.

I'd like to make you aware that this summer marks the 50th anniversary of Title IX, the landmark legislation that has provided countless athletic opportunities for women since its inception.

We'll be joining the NCAA and NESCAC in celebrating this anniversary throughout the fall and winter and the pages that follow include some of the women at Amherst who continue our long tradition of conference champions, All-Americans and academic award winners.

We're looking forward to another great year in 2022-23. I hope to see many of you on campus and at the games.

Warm regards,
Don
