Sue Rodin is a pioneer and advocate for women in the sports industry. In 1993, Rodin founded Women in Sports and Events (WISE), which has become the leading voice and resource for professional women in the business of sports. There are currently ten WISE chapters throughout the United States committed to enhancing the success and strengthening the network of businesswomen in sports and events.
Sue is currently president and founder of a strategic sports marketing agency called Stars & Strategies, which works with corporate clients such as the Danskin Women’s Triathlon Series and ESPN. Additionally, Sue has personally represented numerous elite female athletes and female ESPN analysts. Prior to Stars & Strategies, Sue served as a consultant for Avon Products during their corporate sponsorship with the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta.
Rodin has received many awards and recognitions throughout her career. She was named the 2009 Sports Business Woman of the Year at the annual Women in Sports Business Symposium, was ranked #18 among the Top 25 Females Sports Executives by Street & Smith’s Sports Business Journal in 1999, and is a frequent contributor to ESPN’s “Outside The Lines,” CNN, “NBC Nightly News” and other media outlets.
