Steve Pagliuca- Co Owner of the Celtics and Managing Director at Bain Capital

Steve Pagliuca currently works as a managing director at Bain Capital, and private equity firm. At Bain Capital his focus is technology, media & telecommunications, and financial and business services. In 2003 Pagliuca along with some business partners acquired our local sports team, the Boston Celtics $360 million. Pagliuca is a graduate of Duke University where he played basketball his freshman year. He has four kids, three sons and a daughter.  His sons Joe and Nick also played on the Duke Basketball team, and his daughter Stephanie attended Duke. His youngest son Jesse was on the Amherst College basketball team and is currently a senior. Pagliuca served as a co-chair for the Boston 2024 Olympics bid, and ran for the U.S. Senate as a Democratic Candidate in 2009. In 2005 he received the Bright Star Award for his charitable activities from Bill Clinton.

Pagliuca also received his MBA from Harvard Business School in 1982 and is also a memeber of the HBS Board of Dean's Advisors, the Universty Board of Overseers on University Resources and the HBS Healthcare initiative Advisory Board. In addition, he is a former member of the Baord of Directors of Burger King, Warner Chilcott, Gartner Group and Hospital Corporation of America.
