During his time at Amherst, Rob Stevenson ’00, was a four-year hockey team member, senior co-captain and double majored in political science and Russian. Following graduation, Stevenson attended Navy Officer Candidate School and joined SEAL Team TWO after graduating from BUD/S and SQT. As a member of SEAL Team TWO, Stevenson completed two deployments to Afghanistan, first to assist a NATO Special Operations Force element and a second trip tasked to conduct village stability operations in Taliban-controlled areas.
Stevenson currently resides in Albany, NY and works in the Investment Professional group at The Ayco Company, a Goldman Sachs subsidiary. He still serves as a Lieutenant in the US Navy Reserve as Officer In Charge of a SEAL Platoon at SEAL Team EIGHTEEN and devotes his free time to coaching a local AAA 18u hockey team.
