Michelle Risch began her carrer in education in 1992 as a Children's House Assistant at Cedar Creek Montessori in Berkeley, CA. Montessori Schools are uniquely designed to foster children's curioustiy and innate desire to work and learn. By providing children with an environment where they are encouraged to engage in purposeful, yet spontaneous, learning, Michelle's students are able to explore their personal interests and individual capabilities. Michelle joined Amherst Montessori School in 2005 as a Toddler Assistant and went on to train as a Montessori Guide for the Primary ages, between three and six years old. In addition to her role as a Montessori Guide, Michelle also serves as a high school field hockey coach.
