Born in Needham, MA, Karl Ravech attended Ithaca College where he majored in communication and received a masters degree in management and leadership from SUNY Binghamton. Upon graduation, Karl worked as a sports anchor and reporter in Binghampton, NY and then Harrisbrug, Penn. covering events such as MLB spring training and the Senior U.S. Open PGA Championship before joining ESPN in 1993.
Ravech currently serves as primary host of the Emmy Award-winning Baseball Tonight and has hosted ESPN’s coverage of the MLB playoffs and World Series since 1995. Additionally, he provides commentary for the Little League World Series and ESPN coverage for the College World Series.
