Jérôme de Bontin '81 - Former General Manager, New York Red Bulls Soccer Club

A native of France, Jérôme de Bontin graduated from Amherst College in 1981 with a degree in Economics and has expertise in real estate acquisition and development, asset management, and professional sport franchise management. Mr. de Bontin was a pioneer in hedge fund investments and trading advisors as President and CEO of Crédit Agricole Futures, French subsidiary of Credit Agricole Bank. Additionally, de Bontin founded New Mexico based Aegis Property Management, L.L.C., MeKar Financial Services and Sustainability Investments, L.L.C. Most recently Mr. de Bontin served as the General Manager of the New York Red Bulls Soccer Club. 

As an Amherst College student, Mr. de Bontin was a  member of the Varsity Soccer team and has taken an active role in managing soccer programs across the world. He currently serves as the Chairman of Rush Soccer, the world’s largest youth soccer organization containing forty satellite clubs and served as a Board Member of AS Monaco F.C. for seven years, one of the premier club teams in France.
