Dr. Jeffrey A. Fishbein is a licensed clinical psychologist and a nationally recognized sport psychology consultant. He received his undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and his Masters and Doctorate degrees from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois.
Over the past 16 years, Dr. Fishbein has worked as a clinical psychologist in the practice of Drs. Gault, Fishbein, & Associates and as a sport/performance psychology consultant as founder of Fishbein Performance Consulting. Additionally, he is the co-founder and president of The Institute for Sport and Performance Excellence (ISPE). Dr. Fishbein has worked with middle school, high school, collegiate, and professional athletes for over 15 years, both locally and nationally.
Currently, Dr. Fishbein is the sport psychologist for the Chicago White Sox Professional Baseball organization. From 2000-2002, Dr. Fishbein worked for the Montreal Expos Professional Baseball Organization as the team's sport psychology consultant. From 2002-2010, Dr. Fishbein worked in the same capacity for the Florida Marlins Professional Baseball Organization. During his tenure, the Florida Marlins won a World Series championship in 2003, and two AA championships in 2009 and 2010. In addition to his affiliations with professional organizations, Dr. Fishbein is also the head sport psychology consultant to Northwestern University in Evanston, Illinois. At Northwestern, Dr. Fishbein works with the university's athletes in all sports in order to improve their performance and functioning both as students as well as athletes. As a performance consultant, his model focuses on optimal performance in a variety of settings, both on and off the playing field.
