Mammoths fly by Owls, 4-0

AMHERST, Mass. - Four different goal scorers powered a dominant offensive performance for the Amherst College men's soccer team as the Mammoths rolled to a 4-0 shutout victory over Keene State University on Tuesday, Oct. 13, at Hitchcock Field.

The Mammoths took control in the opening frame with back-to-back goals late in the first half to build a 2-0 lead at the intermission. Amherst maintained its relentless pressure after the break, adding two more goals in the second period while keeping the Owls off the board to secure the non-conference victory.

With the win, Amherst moves to 4-3-3 overall on the season, while Keene State drops to 2-9-3. The Mammoths return to action on Saturday, Oct. 17, traveling to Waterville, Maine, for a NESCAC matchup against Colby College.
