HADLEY, Mass. -- Two members of the Amherst College softball team garnered All-NESCAC honors when they were announced today.

Lulu Leppard (Nashua, N.H.) was selected to the All-NESCAC Second Team while senior pitcher/outfielder
Dani Torres Werra (Merced, Calif.) earned her third All-NESCAC honor.
Leppard started in all 36 games this season. The rookie totaled 40 hits and 20 RBIs, with a batting average of .345. Leppard registered 45 put outs and 73 assists, posting a fielding percentage of .894.
Torres Werra collected her third All-NESCAC selection as the senior earned All-NESCAC Second Team honors in 2022 and 2023. Starting in all 33 games she appeared in, Torres Werra led the team with a batting average of .351, producing 34 hits including two home runs and 22 RBIs. In the field, the senior recorded 31 put outs and seven assists for a fielding percentage of .927.
Amherst ended the season with a 17-19 overall record, including a 7-11 record in NESCAC play. Their performance earned them a place in the NESCAC Tournament Quarterfinal, which they lost to top-seeded Tufts.
